How we rank
Every partner is ranked by the same formula, using data that is publicly available. Here is all of it.
Who runs this site
ERP Partner Finder is operated by Knowlix GmbH. Knowlix is itself an Odoo partner, which makes it a competitor of the partners listed here. It appears in this directory like every other partner, under the same formula and with no manual boost. This site is not operated or endorsed by Odoo S.A. and is not Odoo's official partner list.
The score (0–100)
- Odoo partner tier, up to 30 points: Gold 30, Silver 20, Ready 10, Learning 5, no tier 0. The tier reflects how much Odoo business a partner does and how many certified people it has.
- Published references, up to 30 points: 10 × log₁₀(1 + references), capped at 30. The logarithm means the first references count most; a partner with 1,000 references does not get ten times the points of one with 100.
- Certified experts, up to 20 points: 4 × √(number of certified experts on the most recent Odoo version for which the partner lists any certified experts), capped at 20. Which version that is appears on each profile.
- Customer retention, up to 20 points: retention rate ÷ 5. If Odoo publishes no retention figure for a partner, it receives a fixed 10 points – the same as a 50 % retention rate.
Ties are broken alphabetically.
What does not affect the ranking
- Payment. There are no paid placements. If that ever changes, paid listings will be clearly labelled.
- Whether a partner has claimed its profile.
- Whether a partner works with Knowlix or receives leads through this site.
How matching works
The questionnaire suggests up to five partners for your answers, using a separate score (0–100). It uses only the published data on each profile, and gives no partner – including Knowlix – any preference.
- Industry experience, up to 30 points: the partner's Odoo references in your industry (logarithmic, full points from 40 references), plus 10 points if the partner's website names your industry as a focus. If you choose "Other" as industry, every partner gets 15 points here.
- Project size, up to 20 points: 20 if your planned number of Odoo users is within a factor of 3 of the partner's average project, 12 within a factor of 10, otherwise 6; at most 4 if it exceeds their largest project. 10 if Odoo publishes no project sizes.
- Apps, up to 15 points: 7.5 per app you need that the partner lists as a specialism (max. 2).
- Local requirements, up to 15 points: share of your requirements (e.g. DATEV, BMD, Swiss QR-bill) the partner states it supports. Full points if you named none.
- Your situation, up to 10 points: 10 if the partner offers the matching service (e.g. taking over projects from other partners, data migration), 3 if it lists other services, 5 if unknown. When you switch from another system, a partner that is also an official partner of that system's vendor (e.g. SAP, Microsoft, Sage) gets the full 10 points. Your current partner, if you name one, is only marked in your results — it gets no points and none are taken away. If you start from "Contact this partner" on a profile, that partner is always shown in your results with its normal score — in addition to the suggestions, not instead of them.
- Overall ranking, up to 10 points: the partner's ranking score above, divided by 10.
- AI-assisted delivery, only if you ask for it: +10 points if you said it is important, +5 if nice to have, for partners whose website describes a concrete way they use AI to deliver Odoo projects (e.g. AI-assisted data migration or testing). The total is capped at 100.
Partners in your country come first; if fewer than five qualify, we add partners from the rest of DACH. If your company is based outside DACH, we consider all partners. Partners whose website shows they work in none of your chosen languages are left out. Nothing is passed to a partner unless you select it and confirm your email address.
The AI question shows an example of an AI-assisted implementation with Knowlix AI, the product of Knowlix GmbH, which operates this site; the figures there are Knowlix's own estimate. Your answer only adds the bonus above, and it applies equally to every partner that documents AI-assisted delivery. The questionnaire also asks whether you are interested in an AI teammate inside Odoo after go-live. That question is asked for Knowlix AI too and has no effect on matching. Knowlix only contacts you about Knowlix AI if you tick the separate consent box.
Data sources
Tier, references, certified experts, project sizes and retention come from the public Odoo partner directory (odoo.com/partners), which each profile cites with the date we last checked it. We refresh this data weekly, so a change on odoo.com can take up to a week to show here. Further details come from partners' own websites. We store company data only — no personal names.
Corrections
If something about your company is wrong, use the "Claim this profile" button on your profile, or write to info@knowlix.ai (subject "Correction: [company]"). We check requests from an address at the company's own domain and correct errors within five working days. Claiming is free and has no effect on the ranking.
